Fall Off the Bone, Oven Baked Pork Ribs with Honey and Soy Sauce
Who doesn’t love delicious and tender pork ribs with sweet and spicy glaze?! They are very easy to cook (although require quite a long time, but very low involvement in the process) and are an amazing family meal or great dinner party dish to share with friends. The glaze used in this recipe is based on soy sauce and honey, with several extra ingredients giving the ribs the smoky, sweet and spicy flavor.
Oven Baked Pork Ribs with Honey and Soy Sauce
Prep time is 2 hours 45 minutes, but most of this time the ribs are slow cooking in the oven, while you do your conference calls, enjoy a cup of tea, do the housework, or just relax knowing that your dinner is cooking. This recipe is definitely one of our favorites and I hope you enjoy it too!
What you will need (serves 4-6):
3 racks of pork ribs (approximately 4-6 pounds)
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cooking olive oil
1 tbsp apple vinegar (or any other vinegar of your choice)
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp dry ginger
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili pepper
2 cloves of crushed garlic
Glazed pork ribs with oven baked vegetables
Step 1: Preheat oven to 275F. Wash and dry the ribs, salt and pepper generously from both sides. Wrap each rack well in aluminum foil, place on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 2.5 hours.
Step 2: place all sauce ingredients in a small pot, mix well and bring to boil on stovetop for a few min, until sauce bubbles for 3-4 min and becomes thicker. Turn off.
Step 3: take out the ribs from the oven, unwrap and remove any excess juice. Glaze ribs with the sauce using baking brush.
Step 4: set oven to broil on high. place unwrapped ribs back in the oven for 5 min until top becomes crispy brown. Take out and let rest for a few min before cutting.
Meat on the ribs will be very gentle and falling off the bones. They go deliciously well with the side of salad, mashed potatoes or vegetables. Here are some of our favorite sides for pork ribs:
